Successful investigation on patent-infringing factory
Client: A lamp product company in USA, investigating patent-infringing counterfeited lamp products in Mainland China
Through one-week investigation, Goble-Hunt investigator found out the target factory in Buji Industrial District Shenzhen, and found out the factory was still counterfeiting target products. Through investigation, we found the target factory had about 200 employees and over 1,000m2 factory buildings in floor space, mainly engaged in producing target products. The target factory shipped several containers per week. Goble-Hunt investigator photographed their shipping process in secret, including their packing logos and labels. By tracking their cargo trucks, Goble-Hunt investigator found their goods were transported to Yantian Port and entered customs declaration zone.
With investigation went on, Goble-Hunt investigator found out their inventory on the corridor outside the target factory. Since delivery volume was large, they stored remaining goods directly in factory buildings. Goods stored outside could fill 3 containers, all covered with paulin. Goble-Hunt investigator found some excuse to go past the site and photographed inventory status.
For fear of shipment at night, Goble-Hunt investigator maintained 24-hour monitoring. As expected, we found the target factory began loading at 2-3 o’clock in the morning and transported goods to customs before dawn. Our investigator photographed the entire process of goods going through Huanggang Port to Hong Kong.
As verified through half-month investigation, the target factory constantly shipped goods and their shipment volume far exceeded what our client expected. They often loaded goods in early morning, transported goods to customs and went through customs before dawn. Large quantities of inventory was stored outside the factory. Our investigator was shocked by their open infringing act!
